Course Description

In the spirit of inclusion, we explore our implicit and explicit biases. Of course, we also suggest some practical ways to not only recognize bias, but move toward diversity, equity and inclusion in professional practice. We'll discuss some supervision scenarios and have some fun, too.

Kevin Van Laeken

Kevin Van Laeken is a former School Psychologist and special education administrator, and current BCBA® and Licensed Educational Psychologist in California. Since 2014, his passion for ABA has been finding ways to make difficult ABA concepts more friendly and accessible.

Amy Cambou is a BCBA® who's experience in education provides her with a perspective of both the implementor and the analyst in interventions.

Meiko McDaniel

Meiko McDaniel is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst living in the sunny state of Florida with his fiancée and two pups. Meiko attended and graduated from ASU in 2020 with an M.A. in Special Education: Applied Behavior Analysis. Meiko has worked directly in the field of ABA since 2018 and has worked with youth impacted by serious health challenges since 2013. Meiko graduated with dual bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Law and Politics from Siena Heights University, where he was also a member of their inaugural football program. He is currently Director of Customer Support at BAS. Meiko utilized BAS as a study tool, taking every mock and mini mock available!
